Frequently Asked Questions
Why are commitments needed?
We’ve held special offerings and generosity campaigns in the past that featured one-time or short term goals, but the Kingdom Come Initiative is different in several aspects. Our focus is on several large-scale ministry objectives in this initiative, and a few of those require us to verify the availability of resources before we can begin.
Your commitment to Kingdom Come is an important step of faith, but it also allows us to proceed with confidence on these God-sized ministry goals.
What if my financial circumstances change during the two years of this initiative?
Change is a part of life, and we know that every family’s finances can fluctuate on a yearly basis. You might experience a windfall and be able to give more for a season; you might experience a job change and be unable to give as much for a time. As life happens, prayerfully attempt to stick to your commitment goal as possible.
When will Long Hollow begin work on the Kingdom Come ministry goals?
Our church has always approached big goals “as growth demands and resources allow.” You’ll see work begin on many of our Kingdom Come goals immediately after Commitment Sunday. Other projects will take place in stages, and building projects will require the full availability of finances and regulatory approvals to begin.
The next two years are going to be an exciting season at Long Hollow!
